Hi! My name is Autumn and I’m really glad you’re here. I am a twenty-year-old student enjoying the college life. I realized a while back that I have a love for food. Really, I mean love. I love eating it, cooking it, learning about it, photographing it, and did I mention eating it? Lucky for me, I am currently on my way to a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics. That means someday soon, I will be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and put my passion into practice every single day. The end game for me is to help people understand the significance of nutrition. It makes me genuinely happy to see others taking an interest in the food that they are eating. With that being said, I decided to start Beautifully Gray to spread some love for food. I hope to share recipes, health trends, and some of my views on nutrition.
If you have gotten this far, you might be wondering what the “Beautifully Gray” thing is about. My personal philosophy on health is that you have to find a balance that’s right for you and your body. There is no one right or wrong answer to fit everyone’s needs. I used to lead a life that was very black and white. I was either extremely uptight about exercise and nutrition or let myself slip into poor habits. It took me a long time to get comfortable with myself. Nowadays, I’m working on finding my “gray,” or my own balance. I try my best to listen to my body, treat it with respect, and lead a happy and healthy life. As one of my favorite quotes goes… “Keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.”
