Perfect Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Sometimes there is nothing like a cool, creamy smoothie to satisfy a sweet tooth. It can be eaten in the morning for breakfast or after dinner as a treat. With warmer weather approaching, I think I will be making smoothies a lot more often! This recipe is usually my go-to smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Handful of Ice (About 4-5 cubes)
  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 Cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Skim Milk

Throw all of these ingredients in a blender and blend for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. I recommend using creamy peanut butter over crunchy for a smoother texture. I also encourage using a ripe banana (with a few brown specks) to make the smoothie sweeter. More or less that 1/4 cup of milk can be added depending on your preference for the consistency!

Some variations for this smoothie may be adding in cocoa powder for a chocolate banana smoothie, flaxseed, Chia seeds, or a little handful of spinach. Yes, adding spinach will give the smoothie a super bright green color, but I promise you can’t even taste it! Just give it a try šŸ˜‰
